Welcome to the 2015 ITA Newsletter! It's been another exciting year in the life of our dynamic organization. We have innovated and experimented. We have exciting programs, young motivated teams, engaged communities, and a leadership that believes that change as well development and growth have to be organic. "A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves." So we continue to empower children and communities and in turn feel empowered and inspired ourselves.

Read on and be inspired too!

Children's Literature Festival reaches all territories of Pakistan!

We are extremely proud to say that CLF is the first ever national program that has reached all territories and social segments of Pakistan. From Lahore to Quetta to Peshawar to Swat, Bahawalpur, Islamabad, Karachi, Sahiwal, CLF is the only program of this scale that is exclusively for children. For the first time, Children's Literature Festival took place in Multan, the City of Saints on Saturday, on 4th of April at Government Muslim High School for Boys. It was truly an unforgettable experience for the children of this beautiful city - from storytelling to pottery making, the art of Naqaashi and Kashi, Cholistani music, putli-tamasha and much more.

Children, teachers, government officials and stars of Pakistani media all enjoyed attending another exceptionally successful CLF in Karachi this year in February, held in support of 'I am Karachi' campaign aiming to inculcate a sense of hope, pride and ownership in citizens of Karachi to collectively strive for a peaceful city.

Upcoming Children's Literature Festival will take place on the 12th December 2015 in Bahawalpur.
