Picture Gallery - Universal Childrens Day on November 20, 2019 in collaboration with the Children's Library Complex, Lahore

 Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) celebrated Universal Children’s Day on November 20, 2019 in collaboration with the Children's Library Complex, Lahore with over a 100 students and eminent leaders present from government, civil society and UNICEF Pakistan reminding them of their rights as provided in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

The CLC echoed with voices that called for hearing and acting for the rights of children mentioned in the CRC. Children from Government Girls High School Shahra-e-Aiwan-e-Tijarat, and ITA’s Life Skills for Kids - LSK, Aagahi schools and Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust participated in the event.

The children asked the esteemed guests to make pledges to secure their rights, including the right to life, right to identity, right to healthcare, right to be raised by parents, right to quality education, right to express their opinions, right to protection, right to proper nutrition, right to play, right to protection from corporal punishment and exploitation of all kinds.

The special guests included UNICEF Punjab Chief of Field Office (CFO) Mr. Wilbroad Ngambi, CLC Chairperson Ms. Marriam Khokhar, Additional Finance Secretary Nadia Saquib, Director Special Education Punjab Mr. Shehzad Haroon Bhutta, Deputy Secretary Culture Mr. Anjum Naveed, Child Protection Officer at UNICEF Zahida Manzoor, Mr. Muhammad Khalid from National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), Ms. Ayesha Aziz from Bulleh Shah Packaging, ITA Board Member Rubina Tariq and others.
