Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), along with its development partner OXFAM, joined the fraternity to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017 in Lahore at Pearl Continental Hotel on March 9th, 2017, which centered around the discussion on “Gender Responsive Budgeting in Education: Strengthening Foundations for Women” under the global theme of “Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030”

The theme was positioned under the umbrella of Sustainable Development Goals to highlight the multifaceted aspects of Gender Responsive Policies for Women under the Education Agenda 2030. Sustainable Development Goals of 2030 preceding the Millennium development goals of 2015 have set out to “Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” The discussion encapsulated Women’s crucial role for Lifelong learning to progress in achievement of Agenda 2030.
