The 59th CIES (Comparative & International Education Society) annual conference was organized at the Washington Hilton Hotel this year from March 8th to March 15th, 2015. Being the largest event in its field, the conference draws an international group of over 2000 academics, researchers, and practitioners in multiple disciplines—comparative education, international development, and global and regional studies. Sehar Saeed (Program Manager - ASER) and Farwa Fatima (Research Associate - Learning for Access) represented Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) this year; where they presented at various panels and sessions highlighting the different programs of ITA, such as Learning for Access, Early Childhood Education, and Teachers Without Frontiers. Evidence from ASER Pakistan on gender discrepancies, public private partnerships, impact of citizen led assessment etc, were also shared.
