Saeed Ul Hassan - Advisor

Saeed is currently the Founding Director and CEO of Amalgar Consulting Pvt Ltd. He is a seasoned leader in the nonprofit sector and is the former Executive Director of Human Development Foundation (HDF) which is one of the largest nonprofits in Pakistan supported by Pakistani diaspora based in North America. As the former Associate Country Director, Saeed has worked with Oxfam Great Britain and significantly contributed in the national to global change management processes, rethinking and redesigning of the strategic leadership models and operational strategies in Pakistan. In 2004, Saeed started his career formally with ITACEC as the Program Lead and spent 7 highly fulfilling years in multiple leadership positions. He was instrumental in developing high performing teams, strategic expansion of organizational footprints and funding portfolio through mutually rewarding partnerships with diverse institutional donors and collaborators

Having over 18 years of extensive experience at the top leadership positions, Saeed’s technical strength as “Connector” is well regarded in the sector. He has been the founding member of the first ever alliance of INGOs (comprising Actionaid, Care International, Plan International, World Vision and Oxfam GB) in Pakistan to promote girls education. As a team lead, throughout his professional career, working effectively with others, improving internal ways of working, promoting a culture of harmony in diversity, vitalizing partnerships and organizational development have been his well- acclaimed strengths.

As a program management and development specialist, certified trainer and a hardcore development practitioner, he demonstrates passion and proven track record of rights based gender responsive programming. His learning & development has been strongly backed by national, international trainings & exposures (United Kingdom, South Africa, Malaysia, Thailand, Senegal and India). Representing a leading national level NGO (ITACEC) in the past, he scooped rigorously contested Commonwealth Education Good Practice “Special Nomination” Award and Govt. of Malaysia Award (2009) for “Addressing the Vulnerable through Quality Learning and Protection – Drop-in Centres for Rag Pickers and Child Domestic Labour (CDL). Saeed was the Chair of the first-ever Children Parliament (5-16 age group) of Pakistan. He is the founding member of a couple of social enterprises. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Act International and voluntarily serves as the technical advisor & board member of some very vibrant CSOs.
