The Siyani Sahelian Market Place Roadshow - Bahawalpur Chapter
Overview: The Siyani Sahelian Market Place Roadshow is a celebration of the talent, marketing potential of the artisan community of South Punjab. The event showcases the skills learnt and honed by the Siyani Sahelian girls/young women, who graduated over the course of 3-6 months through skill development certification courses, workshops. The marketplace activated stalls and sale points of the products/services that they are producing vibrantly as entrepreneurs. The Market Place provided an opportunity for all stakeholders working in the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) landscape to:
- Initiate business networking possibilities and explore major potential of the artisan community of Pakistan -their marketing, orders and retail options
- Connecting the local industry /artisans with service/product providers and bigger entrepreneurs at regional, provincial and national levels
- Identification and understanding the role the artisans from vulnerable segments can play in the industry
- Discover new avenues of collaboration between various enterprise bodies working in the space
- Inclusion of a more diverse demographics on the TVET /Small Enterpreneurship map
- The creation of a collaborative effort towards elevation of young women entrepreneurs, program expansion and sustainability options
