I was 19 when I got married. A year later I am a mother of a little boy. My husband is a laborer and we live in a small village with limited resources and few opportunities. We do not have a steady or hefty household income coming in.
When I heard about the trade of Khussa Making being offered in our village, I jumped at the opportunity. I want to learn some skill that can enable me to make some contribution to my family well-being financially. I very much enjoy the trade of Khussa Making. With a wide variety of designs and cut forms that one can experiment with; the end result is always very interesting.
It is not easy being a mother and attending classes, but it is for my son that I want to make something of myself and give him better opportunity avenues. Sometimes I even bring him to classes. He seems to enjoy it and my class fellows and instructor help me in taking care of him.
