Experience & Skills: 

  • Significant experience in conducting training, workshops particularly on components of Menstrual disorders, referral mechanism and community engagement strategies
  • Proven track record on conducting capacity building workshops.
  • Knowledge about the current scenario of MHM, SRHR and youth engagement.
  • Experience of campaign designing, mobilization and advocacy.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills in English.

Terms of Reference (ToR)

Consultant/Trainer for Menstrual Hygiene Management (Advance concepts)

1. Background:

ITA is seeking a qualified and experienced trainer to conduct training sessions on advance concepts of menstrual hygiene management. The training is aimed to sensitize the members of selected CSOs on advance level concepts with the goal of promoting awareness about proper practices related to menstruation.

2. Scope of Work:

The selected trainer will be responsible for:

  • Addressing the psychological and emotional aspects of menstruation.
  • Identification and understanding of menstrual disorders (e.g., PCOS, endometriosis).
  • Strategies for community-based MHM programs.
  • Training on advocating for menstrual health rights.
  • Designing of awareness campaign. (objectives and action plans)
  • Smart messages- advocacy messages to influence the policy makers
  • Mobilization of different stakeholders and Role of civil society, alliances and networks

3. Qualification & Experience:

The trainer should possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in menstrual health and relevant knowledge.
  • Command on advocacy skills and strategies
  • Previous experience conducting similar training sessions, preferably in the target audience’s context.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and social aspects related to menstruation.
  • Ability to adapt the training content to the specific needs of the audience.

4. Deliverables:

The trainer is expected to deliver the following:

  • Training content / Presentation.
  • Training reports including attendance, Pre/posttests, feedback, Training MOVs along with feedback videos, evaluation and any suggested improvements.
  • A brief post-training evaluation and recommendations for follow-up actions.

5. Timeline:

This training will be lead and conducted by ITA. Expected dates of training are from 4th and 5th July 2024, with 10-12 participants. Total 2 days are allocated for this training session.
