Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) or the “Centre of Education and Consciousness” Public Trust, established in 2000, is a civil society organization focused on addressing the profound education crisis of Pakistan through action and policy research, service-delivery and advocacy. ITA has been a strong education champion across Pakistan with field programs covering complex aspects of: Access, Learning, Quality, Evaluating Low-Cost Private Schools, Inclusion, Child Protection, Gender Justice and Education, Tolerance, Citizenship, Health and Hygiene Interventions, and Technical and Vocational Training Programs with government, communities and public and private school systems. |

ASER 2021 was released nationally on 10th March, 2022. Ms. Kim Bradford Smith, Education team lead, FCDO; Ms. Noreen Hasan, Education Specialist, UNICEF Pakistan; Ms. Suraiya Zaman, Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Govt. of Gilgit Baltistan; Col (R) Dr. Amirullah Marwat, Chairman, National Commission for Human Development (NCHD); and Mr. Fahd Husain, Journalist and ASER Ambassador participated in the launch event held at Planning Commission in Islamabad. The event was attended by all major stakeholders from civil society, government, and the private sector. In addition to the national launch, ASER was also released provincially in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan in March and April 2022.

The Young Author Award 2021-2022 submissions are being shortlisted and we request all the participants to wait as we have received more than 1000 entries. |

Classroom observations were conducted in 30 partnered public schools as a follow up support after teacher training under GLSEP supported by UNESCO. They were led by monitoring and evaluation officers. Observation tool comprised of 6 sections: general observations, availability of resources, classroom environment, lesson strategies and content, lesson delivery and classroom management and teacher-student interaction. Classroom observations were followed by the feedback session with teachers. Findings were shared with teachers to support them in the process of teaching and learning. |

Distribution of Appreciation Letter
An appreciation letter sent by Senior Literacy Specialist (RtR), David Strawbridge to appreciate the services of the school and teachers in letting students take books home to read as it enabled parents to get more involved in their children’s reading and providing opportunities for children to read more books for enjoyment. The appreciation letters were distributed in all schools with a small ceremony where coach and the district manager appreciated the services of the teachers and principal. The staff of school also appreciated the importance of library period and agreed to focus on enhancing reading habits of the students.

Community Engagement
The PLP Project aims to engage the community in library routine and with the support and help of schools the team engaged parents and community members in Reading activities to encourage and increase the habit of book reading among students as well as the community. Community members and parents visited the schools and performed reading activities with the students and students also shared videos of reading aloud with their family. |

Making. For the purpose of main streaming, LSK school principals and coordinators started
Conducting meeting with other school heads for the admissions of LSK students in higher
Classes. Meeting with school staff organized in office to discuss about further syllabus and
Strategies to maintain student attendance. Similarly computer instructors also got
Facilitation class by ITA digital marketing person to determine next quarter course. LUMS students conducted STEM activity class with Colony campus students. |
