June 11: In the celebration of the
International Day Against Child Labor, we
recognized the hard work put in by Life
Skills for Kids (LSK) team. LSK is a project
of ITA that works to remove children
engaged in the worst forms of child labor
(rag picking).
Child Rights Movement Capacity Building Workshop
CRM organized a 3 day training in Murree
for members of more than 20 organizations
to empower CSOs to effectively promote
Child Rights in Pakistan. It is a valuable
platform for collaborative efforts towards
achieving a common goal: fundamental
democratic rights for every child.
Budget Allocation and the implementation of Article 25-A
18th June: Right to Education (RTE)
planned a seminar discussing important
issues in Child rights, legislation and
protection. Pakistan continues to face
immense battles and must put in sincere
and consistent effort if we are to protect
all our children.
In-house Seminar on Education Budget
In the budget for Fiscal Year 2019-2020,
Government has devoted PKR 77 billion
for Education- a massive PKR 20 billion
reduction from last year. A reduced
public sector spending means our
children continue to suffer.
