Held concurrently at two venues |
|

|
|
CLF Peshawar\’19 is the first CLF to be held concurrently at two separate venues: Nishtar Hall and Peshawar Museum. While Nishtar Hall provided the vast green plains and fully equipped auditoriums ideal for conducting sessions, Peshawar Museum hosted the Climate and Gender Justice Marches, the State Bank coin-making activities, and an amazing guided tour of the museum. |

The CLF received a tremendous response from students, teachers and the general public alike, with over 27000 in attendance. |

Humein Kitab Chahiye - Now in Pashto! |

The CLF Tarana “Humein Kitab Chahiye” written by Zehra Nigah and composed by Rakae Jamil, available in English and Urdu, can now be enjoyed in Pashto as well! Translated by the highly acclaimed Abaseen Yousafzai and rendered by the famous Ali Baba, listen here |

Celebrating 30 years of CRC (1989-2019) |

For the 30th anniversary of the Child Rights Convention, an elaborate installation by the Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi team marked the occasion and an informative session by Azra Raza and Rashida Faheem discussed Child Rights in Children's Literature at CLF Peshawar. |

|
Atif Khan, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Sports, Archaeology and Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, graced the event as a chief guest at the inaugural, vowing to make the CLF into an annual event in KP (Click here for media coverage!) Moreover, Senator Meher Taj Roghani inaugurated the CRC installation in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

CLF Advisors and RPs visit Gor Khatri! |
|
|
Our Advisors and RPs visited the Gor Khatri site and Sethi Haveli in Peshawar on the 9th and 10th of January. In Sanskrit, Gor Khatri means warrior’s grave, and was an active pilgrimage centre of the Hindus in the early 16th century. |

Rumana Husain Double Storytelling Session at the British Council Library Karachi |
|
|
On December 21, over 40 children from diverse schools, communities and linguistic groups attended a lively story telling session at the BC Library Karachi. Two of Rumana's 2019 bi-lingual Books were read with expression, viz. Jungle mein Mangal/Jingles in the Jungle and Paronwala/the Winged One! Children and mothers joined in the interactive session!
