The Great Deluge & Call for Support in Pakistan
Dear Friends and Colleagues
The current apocalyptic tragedy of Floods/Climate Change Emergency has engulfed one-third of Pakistan's population and awaits the contribution of every single Pakistani to provide relief to the affected by this ultimate catastrophe.
ITA has always been at the forefront of Response and Rehabilitation Action since the devastating earthquakes of 2005. Once again, ITA teams are actively engaged in supporting relief efforts for those in need through our direct district operations and through our networks of Education Youth Ambassadors in several target districts in close collaboration with the Government of Pakistan.
ITA is also closely working with the Education Sector Working Group (ESWG) cluster for Education in Emergencies (EIE) along with the other sector affiliates for coordinated support. The relief efforts regular report will be available on our website to ensure transparency of the process so that every penny makes an impact.
Your little contribution could help a lot! Come forward to serve your motherland in these unprecedented times.

Education Almost 18000 schools have been damaged and destroyed (Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab) numbers will multiply when KP education infrastructure devastation is added
Almost 5500 schools are already being used as temporary shelters, & are likely to increase
- The Government of Pakistan triggered its Social Protection program, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), among other assistance instruments.
- Humanitarian partners are providing aid for flood-affected people even as weather and ground conditions inhibit access
- The humanitarian disaster is expected to worsen as communities who are displaced, vulnerable with poor nutrition and health, without livelihoods, frayed /destroyed infrastructure are increasingly unable to cope with ongoing heavy rainfall and its aftermath. Education and learning crisis is bound to escalate, something that Pakistan can ill afford.
