South-South Fellowship Programme website
A coalition of partners came together spearheaded by FCDO and its What Works Hub, the Lemann Foundation, Lemann Center of Leadership and Equity in Education, Lemann Foundation Programme in Blavatnik School of Government and two anchor organizations from Kenya and Pakistan, Zizi Afrique and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Agahi. The main agenda for this was to It will produce global public goods in the form of evidence and tools for education policymakers from Global South countries and their partners in civil society and the international community.
Objectives
A Fellowship program
A Fellowship program that encourages and trains senior education leaders from the Global South to build coalitions to reform their education systems and deliver stronger foundational learning outcomes. The program will also be a lab to develop, test and iterate global goods that will train and empower leaders to:
- Learn from and build on one another’s successes and approaches across the group of Fellows.
- Utilize evidence-based policymaking and success stories from a range of Global South countries to strengthen their own reform efforts.
- Develop the knowledge, relationships, and supportive community of practice they need to persist through the difficult work of leading systems change.
